StoryTime nasce nel 2009 su iniziativa di Debora Chellini come laboratorio di inglese per bambini dai 4 ai 14 anni basato sulla tecnica dello storytelling e sull’idea del learning through experience o imparare facendo, sviluppando hands-on e walk/talk activities.
Dunque imparare a leggere, scrivere, comunicare e creare materiali autonomi in inglese acquisendo un’ottima flessibilità con la lingua fin da piccoli, attraverso strategie d’insegnamento legate all’utilizzo di testi di narrativa di famosi scrittori per l’infanzia inglesi e americani (Eric Carle, Eric Hill, Judith Kerr e molti altri), o attraverso la consapevolezza della centralità del territorio, stimolando partecipazione e creatività.
Il laboratorio si rivolge a varie fasce d’età: bambini dai 4 ai 6, dai 7 agli 8 anni e dai 9 agli 11 anni, ragazzi dai 12 ai 14 anni (ciclo della scuola secondaria di primo grado).
StoryTime ha la sua base al Museo di San Casciano VP in cui si tengono coinvolgenti laboratori annuali; al momento altri laboratori per le fasce d’età 6-11 sono aperti a Cerbaia VP, a Tavarnelle e a Tavarnuzze .

StoryTime is a project for children developed by Debora Chellini. It consists of immaginative and dynamic storytelling sessions as well as a range of other workshops, providing a playful and didactic environment where creativity and communication skills are encouraged. It is based on storytelling and the idea of ‘learning through experience’, through the development of hands-on and walk/talk activities in collaboration with experts of different fields. Therefore children (6-14 years old) learn English in a creative and flexible environment where they are stimulated through art, craft and on-site projects, public speaking, partecipative workshops and activities in a relaxed, peaceful and warm environment.
